Who we are

Triple Scoop (Walworth) Limited (company number 14920997), trading as Triple Scoop, of 321 to 323 Walworth Road, London SE17 2TG. We are the data controller for anything you send through this site.

What we collect, and only when you send it

We do not ask for anything until you fill in a form. The van hire enquiry collects your name, email address and phone number, and the details of the event: the occasion, the date, the postcode and venue, roughly how many people, what you would like served and anything you tell us in the message box. The wholesale form collects your name, email, phone, business name, roughly what volume you need and a delivery postcode. The contact form collects your name, email and your message.

Every question except a name and an email address is optional, and anything you leave open is recorded as “not sure yet” rather than filled in for you.

Why we need it

To answer you, and to price the job. A postcode is the biggest single thing in a van hire price, which is why the form asks for one rather than adding travel on at the end. The date is how we tell you whether we are free. None of it is used for anything else.

The legal basis is that answering your enquiry is what you asked us to do. We do not have a mailing list and the forms do not ask to put you on one, so nothing you send us becomes marketing.

Where it goes

Two places, both of them ours. The enquiry is saved to a database run by Cloudflare, and it is emailed to us through a service called Resend, which also sends you a copy of what you wrote. The database is what lets us look back and see which months and which areas we are being asked about; the email is how we reply.

We also use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a form was filled in by a person rather than a script. It does not track you around the internet and it does not set advertising cookies.

We do not sell your details, we do not share them with anyone for marketing, and there is no advertising or analytics tracking on this site.

Once we are talking about an actual booking, your name, your date and your venue end up in the diary that keeps the van from being double-booked, the same way they would if you had rung the shop. Nothing beyond that is copied anywhere else.

Your half finished form

The van hire enquiry saves your answers in your own browser as you go, so that a refresh or an interruption does not cost you the form. That copy never leaves your device, it is cleared when you send the enquiry, and it goes when you close the tab. Nothing is sent to us until you press send.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that turn into a booking are kept for six years after the event, because that is how long the records behind an invoice have to last. Enquiries that do not turn into a booking are deleted after two years, which is long enough to recognise somebody coming back for next year’s party and no longer than that.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to stop using it. Ring the shop on +44 20 3336 9997 or send it through the contact form, and we will come back to you within a month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this page

If we change how any of this works, we change this page, and the date at the top changes with it.

Terms of use covers the rest of the site.
